  1. I had the honor and pleasure of working with Lonnie for over thirty years. What I appreciated most about working with him was his focus on lyrics. His beautiful guitar work was always in support of what was being said in a song. In his own work, he was able to create a story using descriptive imagery and a turn of the phrase that made you stop and take notice. He truly was a poet.

    It was a joy to co-write the title track to my last CD with Lonnie. I sure do miss him. Not only for his extraordinary musical gifts, but for the kind and supportive man he was to me.
